Night of the living blog

Posted by: Guest

A recent Times article brought these three sites to my attention- Blogging Beirut, Cedarseed’s Live Journal, and a moving entry on You Tube – all created by kids in Lebanon and Israel. The YouTube entry, as a child maintains a plucky demeanor while bombs are heard going off in the distance, is chilling. Considering we have so much access now to another’s point of view, it’s about time to ponder what all this technology is really worth. The ‘Downtown Beirut Video’ – a taped midnight drive through an empty street – bears too much resemblance to a ‘Twilight Zone’ episode to be true. Haunting, ghostly images direct from cyberspace.
