Fine. My Best Of (in no particular order)

FUNNY GAMES – THE REMAKE. Hasn’t been released yet. But it’s Michael Haneke.
LEMMINGS, PART 1 AND 2. Shot in the 70s. But it’s Michael Haneke.
AWAY FROM HER. The best film I saw at Sundance 2007.
RED ROAD. The second-best film I saw at Sundance. And Andrea, the director, is an elven dame.
DAY NIGHT DAY NIGHT. Good style. And the sound design – whoa. Slowly eating a candy apple while having a bomb strapped to your stomach walking through Times Square will never sound the same.
DIVING BELL & BUTTERFLY. Avalanches in slow motion. Best end credits of the year.
MANDA BALA (SHOOT THE BULLET). Frogs, prosthetic earlobes, kidnappers, armored cars, Sao Paolo…
THIS IS ENGLAND. Cute, well-dressed, and no, didn’t mind the Smiths cover – made it better for me actually.
BILLY THE KID. You may know why.
EXIT. A ghostly doc about assisted suicide. So haunting you won’t be able to see the seat in front of you through your tears.
