ENTRE NOS – That’s A Wrap!

Posted by: Jason

Monday night the cast and crew of the IndiePix production ENTRE NOS came together at Red Bamboo in Brooklyn to celebrate the end of a grueling 18-day shoot and the beginning of post-production. It was a family affair, with all the incredible child actors and their parents in attendance. Spirits were high, as we all tried to sum up a rollercoaster three weeks.

Co-director/star Paola Mendoza gave a fantastic (but blessedly short — too emotional!) speech thanking everyone for their efforts, especially producer extraordinaire Michael Skolnick. There were gifts for all the young actors, and some for the grownups — Laura Montana, the little angel of the cast, made bracelets for many of the crew.

It was fantastic getting to know some of the people who did such great work a little bit better. Especially the incredible character actor Anthony Chisholm, who besides being in one of my favorite television shows of all time (yay, OZ!), is even more passionate and driven than most of us youngsters.

In some ways, I had the best of it — was on set for day one, and then came back for the wrap party! But it also had me remember what a blessing production is. You work your tail off, get very little sleep, eat bad food, and lose patience for the cast and crew that you’ve spent more time with than your own family. But when all is said and done, a camaraderie, mutual respect and love develops between a tight knit group of folks all coming together with one vision and a common goal that lasts forever. Unforgettable.

Congrats to the cast and crew, and on to post-production!
