Hooray for the home team! Incredibly talented IndiePix filmmaker Shawn Bennett has been named winner of this year’s West Virginia Filmmaker of the Year Award! His film THE BATTLE OF LOCAL 5668 (now available for schools and libraries through The Cinema Guild) beat out the work of three other filmmakers (including Morgan Spurlock!), and Shawn will receive his award on October 4th in Sutton, WV. The film will be shown at this year’s West Virginia Filmmaker’s festival, where it won the Best Feature Documentary award last year.
