I didn’t realize when I ducked into one of those “novelty gift stores” on 6th avenue to buy my friend Natalie Difford, program associate at Chicken and Egg Productions, an Obama action figure, that it would cause such a stir in my condo at Sundance. The indefatigable filmmaker and Renaissance woman Jesse Epstein, along with Difford and our very favorite film composer (and milliner!) Ionic Furjanic, collaborated to make a hilarious short in which the new president travels to Park City to schmooze, pitch, and yes, watch his own inauguration. How very meta!
