Cinema Eye Honors 2009
The TimeCenter was host to almost 400 people on Sunday night, March 29 joined by over 40 industry and general press attendees, to celebrate the recipients and nominees for the Cinema Eye Honors. In this second session, AJ Schnack and Thom Powers hosted the IndiePix sponsored event. We have lots . . . . . . . of comments and pictures and thoughts …
But first … check out the links and comments section for an updated recap of comments on the event.
There were many great pictures from the evening, and we’ll put up a few of them on this blog for your viewing pleasure. You can find the whole set at the Cinema Eye Honors site. But this one below is totally one of my favorites. I think of this picture as The Future.

Everyone in this picture has a project(s) — a new project — that will come to fruition later this year or next. And everyone in this picture has done many things previously. If IndiePix, through its sponsorhip of Cinema Eye and led by its head of Studios, the fearless and charming Ryan Harrington, can help build a community of filmmakers, each of whom has a significant body of work, this will have been a great achievement, and something we can all recognize as having made a real contribution to the human experience.
