It is the charge of independent films to light the torch of purpose over profit in order to sustain the often trodden upon passion that keeps films interesting and enlightening.

In light of the imprisonment of PFC Bradley E. Manning, a “United States Army soldier who was arrested in May 2010 in Iraq on suspicion of having passed restricted material to the website WikiLeaks,” the production company Poly-Blue created the film Prevention of Injury which addresses the plight of Manning as he was upgraded to SRS (Suicide Risk Status).

Prevention of Injury is a short film, around 20 minutes in length, that tells a story of what it may be like for Manning in his detention given the circumstances presented to the public. In cases like these there is always opposition to backdoor politics which land persons labeled unsavory in much worse than unsavory positions for the pleasure of persons in power. Protests, petitions and the like have emerged and this film is one in countless cries for Manning to be treated fairly until he stands trial and is convicted, if he is convicted.

In an effort to broaden their audience and assure that the message is heard, Poly-Blue is offering Prevention of Injury free of charge on vimeo.
