Extras Needed in the Hamptons!
A local independent film company making a feature film this summer in the Valley is seeking extras for a scene to be shot in Northampton Saturday, Aug. 11, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Media Education Foundation, at 60 Masonic St.
Set in the near future, the film, titled “The God Question,” is about a computer scientist at the University of Massachusetts who is doing controversial research into artificial intelligence at a time when the public is growing concerned about computers becoming smarter than people. It’s a PG drama whose main actors are from the Valley.
The scene to be shot is a conference workshop in New York City in summer for professors and researchers. Filmmakers are seeking about 20 extras, people who are 27 and older. The job pays $15, but everyone who takes part will receive a free DVD of the film and their name in the credits. The dress should be business casual. Filming will take place in the Frances Crowe Community Room at the Media Education Foundation.
Anyone interested in being an extra is asked to email Stan at hamphouse@comcast.net.
