The Queens World Film Festival kicks off tonight with an Opening Night full of films! The party will take place at the Museum of the Moving Image, located at 36-01 35 Ave. (at 37 Street) in Astoria, NY. Doors open at 5:30 PM, with the program starting at 6:00 PM. Awards will be presented during the opening night for two distinct honors:

QWFF ‘Spirit of Queens’ Community Leader Honoree:
City Council Member Daniel Dromm
for his leadership and advocacy on behalf of all citizens of New York

QWFF ‘Spirit of Queens’ Filmmaker Honoree:
Lloyd Kaufman, President of TROMA Entertainment for almost
40 years of truly independent filmmaking

In addition to the scenic venue, the night will feature a list of great films! Each film is less than feature length, with several from filmmakers right here in New York. Here’s a list of the films featured in the Queens World Film Festival Opening Night:
