Coming Soon: “Playing Hating: A Love Story”
Player Hating: A Love Story Premiers in NYC in less than 1 Month!
-Peter Sprier, Academy Award Nominated Filmmaker and CEO of Rugged Entertainment
The award winning new documentary from critically acclaimed director Maggie Hadleigh-West screens in New York City at Quad Cinema from Friday April 6th – Thursday April 12th, and at Indie Screen Friday April 13th & Saturday April 14th.
Player Hating: A Love Story follows hip hop artist Half-a-Mill and his Brooklyn crew as they struggle to escape poverty and violence through music. Player Hating delves intimately into the lives of young “thugs”, and takes the viewer into an underground world of poverty, alienation, gangs, violence and music that most audience members have an inkling of, but few rarely see—unless they’ve lived it.

“Player Hater: A Love Story is one of the premier documents of the Hip Hop Age, and as such deserves a large audience, because it humanely holds nothing back. Absolutely nothing.” – Dean Treadway, Blogger, Filmicability
